I commenced this business in August 2015 after 30 years working within the taxation industry.
I am a registered Tax Agent since 2016, a Fellow of CPA since 2012, a Fellow of IPA since 2022 and a Member of ATTA (Australasian Tax Teachers Association) since 2014.
I hold a Bachelor of Taxation from UNSW (2001) and a Masters in Taxation & Financial Planning from UNSW (2013).
Prior to August 2015, I was a Course Coordinator | Lecturer | Tutor at the University of the Sunshine Coast from 2009 to 2015 for both Undergraduates and Masters courses in Taxation Law, Estate Planning, Insurance, Accounting and tutoring in Economics.
From 2002 to 2011 I was the Senior Advisor Taxation (EQ) & Principal Finance Officer Taxation (TMR) with the Queensland Government working with Education Queensland and Transport & Main Roads.
From 2000 to 2007 I provided volunteer support to P&C Qld with regards to taxation and accounting for their 1200+ P&C’s in Qld by contributing and editing their Operations Manual, speaking at their Training Days & Conferences plus interceding for individual P & C’s on their behalf in disputes with the ATO.
1990 to 2002 I worked at the ATO in tax technical positions within Enquiries, Advising’s, GST complex teams (Government and Construction), Public Speaking and Tax Technical Training. I also authored two public rulings and assisted in the drafting of some of the GST legislation.
1987 to 1990 I was a Tax Consultant, Auditor and Assistant Area Manager with the ITP (Southern Sydney franchise).
1978 to 1990 I was employed by the Department of Social Security (CentreLink) as an assessor/ field officer/ fraud officer.
